Skyway House Men’s Residential TreatmentThe Skyway House Residential Facility for men is situated on 40 acres of farm orchards just outside of Chico, California. Our tranquil setting in the northern Sacramento Valley provides a secluded, peaceful and healing environment for men to address their alcohol and addiction problems without distraction from the outside world. Individualized Treatment PlansWhen a new client arrives at Skyway House men’s residential treatment center, our counselors conduct a comprehensive assessment of his needs and then design an individualized treatment plan. All clients receive extensive, one-on-one case management tailored to their particular life situation and their needs. Clients participate in both group and individual counseling, relapse prevention, anger management, life skills classes, re-entry strategy classes and exit planning. We carefully guide our clients through their most vulnerable times during early recovery. Supplementary AspectsSkyway House offers some additional educational aspects that aren’t necessarily applicable to all clients. These components may include but are not limited to parenting education; behavioral health services; grief counseling, and employment readiness; and HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis-C and nutrition education. When Skyway House is not able to offer these services on site, community referrals may be employed. 12-Step Recovery ModelOur treatment program is based on the 12-Step Recovery Model and all of our clients are introduced to local Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, Narcotics Anonymous meetings and other community support groups. They’re encouraged to cultivate friendships in these meetings so they can begin to build a network of recovering men. This can be an essential component of long-term sobriety. Family RecoveryWe understand that alcoholism and drug addiction can devastate families and that’s why it’s vital to have the entire family involved in the recovery process. Addicts and alcoholics have a much better chance of maintaining long-term sobriety if their loved ones are actively involved in their recovery. We encourage the men in our residential treatment program to invite their wives/significant others, children and other family members to visit our facility when “their program” permits. Our professional counselors are dedicated to the recovery of not just the alcoholic/addict but their families as well. Working & Healing TogetherSkyway House men’s residential facility is designed to function like a family unit. All of our clients participate in daily chores including, cooking, cleaning and yard maintenance. The process of pitching in and helping each other around the facility helps clients develop meaningful friendships in order to build a support system to help them stay clean and sober long after they’ve left Skyway House. Please contact our office if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment to speak confidentially with one of our counselors. |
